Mr. Issac Fuller, died October 6, 1691. His stone is located in the East Parish Burial Ground, Newton Massachusetts. The image is a very ornate winged skull which marks the deceased’s flight to Heaven. It sends the message that you too are mortal and earthly good deeds will be rewarded with entrance to Heaven. The winged skull is commonly seen. Its look may vary from carver to carver, but its message remains the same.
