Hora Fugit! = Time Flies! We created this piece by casting an entire tympanum (the top, curved part of the gravestone where the carving is). The carved image is a Winged Hourglass, a timeless old New England symbol for the passage of time and the brevity of life. The original 1772 gravestone marks the grave of William Field in Providence, Rhode Island. 9X16″
