Two willow trees flank an urn, bookending death with hope of more to come. The larger willow precedes the urn, symbolizing life before death, while the smaller tree is the new life that grows from death and departure from this world. From the tombstone of Mrs. Tamar Corthell who died August 19, 1836 and is buried in Hingham Center Cemetery, Hingham, Massachusetts. Carver: Jacob Vinal Jr.
